THEATRE GROUP ABBASANTESE "Sos amigos de sa cumedia Sardinian born in January 2006 as a Theatre Workshop sponsored, along with many other activities, dall'Unitre Abbasanta (University of the Third Age) of Guilcieri, Montiferru Barigadu. The Theatre Workshop is proposed as a main objective to contribute to the restoration and enhancement of the Sardinian language as a means of communication and as an indispensable tool for understanding the culture of Sardinia and the reassertion of a conscious identity as a people.

In undertaking the work of Theatre Workshop, the Prof.Deiana began by presenting the guidelines developed by the Regional Commission for the Sardinian language in order to achieve a standard in the writing and pronunciation of the same language and 'went on to present the plays of other authors, trying to find the right one for potential and the interests of students.

The choice fell on a play written by the same director of the course, entitled "Fizu meu s'est isposu a turnover," which was very well represented on the occasion of the Feast of St. Augustine and the feast of Abbasanta elderly in the same country.

The theater group has already made a trip to Ardauli, also earning them acclaim and appreciation. The theater group was supported with regard to the technical aspects (sets, lights and amplification) from the Theater Company of Ardauli, with whom he established a successful combination.

All members of the troupe are now close to Mario and share his grief for the loss of the beloved parent.
